Located in the Eastern Docklands, Roest is a complex of disused industrial buildings converted into a bar, restaurant, event space and huge city beach – and it’s totally brilliant.
The big brick building in the middle is where you’ll find the excellent bar – an eclectic space which serves a top range of beers, cocktails and decent food. Friday and Saturday nights are party night – check the agenda to see what’s on.
There’s also a large warehouse space that hosts regular events like fairs, markets and roller discos, and a huge waterside junkyard style beer garden/beach with interesting seating areas, an outdoor bar and places to swim when the temperatures soar.
Roest has it all, and we love it.
Note: On sunny days you’ll always find a good crowd here, but if the weather’s bad then it can be a bit quiet unless there’s a particular event happening. So always check the agenda to see what’s on.
